A cave with a unique fossil HERE↗️, the Gua Nsga Emas (Golden Dragon Cave) is renowned for containing a remarkably well-preserved fossil of a small tiger, embedded within the cave wall.
Currently, Gua Naga Mas is open to the public and situated near a Siamese temple. Interestingly, the fossil is being worshipped within the temple, highlighting the interplay between scientific and cultural significance.
The temple itself has faced eviction notices in the past, adding another layer of complexity to the site’s preservation challenges. Efforts are underway to address these issues and find a balance between preservation, tourism, and local community interests.
