It is a relatively new tourist attraction HERE↗️, the Zahara Garden in Gopeng is a 4.5-acre haven combining animal encounters with scenic landscapes, making it ideal for families and photography enthusiasts.

According to the web resource, the Zahara Garden boasts the first alpaca petting area in Perak. Twelve alpacas, imported from Australia, roam freely, allowing visitors to interact with them (for a small fee of RM1 for grass or pellets).

Note that alpacas can spit if stressed 😯😯, so gentle interaction is the key.

Besides alpacas, the garden features other farm animals like rabbits, chickens, pigeons, and peacocks.

There are more than 20 designated perfect areas for taking photos, including murals, a heart-shaped arch, a pink school bus, and even a “Hobbit house” inspired setting.

Other activities such as flying fox, it offers a unique aerial view of the garden. Pricing varies for adults and children.

There is also an air-conditioned café serves local and international dishes, providing a relaxing spot with a view of the alpaca enclosure.

The admission fee, in my opinion is relatively high, RM25 for adults (13 years and above), RM15 for children (3-12 years), senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
